Dübelsäge - Dovel saw

Bernhard hat mir seine Dübelsäge zum Tunen gegeben. Damit man Dübelsägen tunen kann muss man natürlich auch Dübel haben.

Bernhard send me his dovel saw for fine tuning. So I needed dovel.

Der 6mm Bohrer war grad in der Bohrmaschine. Aber ich hatte gar keine 6mm Dübel. Also noch mal Bohren.

The 6mm bit was in the machine, but I didn't have 6mm dovels. So drilling again.

Lieber ein paar mehr Dübel.

Better a few more dovel.

Hier erkennt man gut den Lack, der Sägen schützt, wenn sie unter Umständen lange im Regal liegen.

Mit ein bisschen Aceton ist der Geschichte.

Die Säge ist im Auslieferungszustand nicht geschränkt und auf Längsschnitt gefeilt.

There was no set and the saw is filed rip cut.

Leider habe ich das Lichtproblem in meiner Werkstatt noch nicht in den Griff bekommen, deshalb arbeite ich gerade mit dieser Funzel.

I have a problem with the light for filing in my shop. This lamp gives me the rakes light but not enough.

20 tpi sind ganz schön fein.

20 tpi are fine.

Das Feilen hat einen Grat auf der Unterseite gebildet, der zu den Riefen führt. Und die Längsschnittbezahnung finde ich auch nicht ideal.

The filing form a little burr on the underside of the saw. And I didn't like the feeling of "rip cutting" a crosscut dovel. 

 

Deshalb habe ich auf Crosscut umgefeilt. Dabei musste ich feststellen, dass der Stahl etwas weicher ist, als der, den ich normalerweise feile. Hab mich lange nicht mehr so verfeilt. Da habe sie dann halt neu bezahnt. 18 tpi crosscut.

So filed a little fleam. And for the first time since a few years I made a big mistake. St steel ist softer that the one I'm used to file. So I recut the teeth 18 tpi crosscut.

Das Etching hat dadurch etwas gelitten. Auf der unteren Seite den Grat entfernen.

Deburr the underside.

Besser.
Better.
