Base for the Drill

Today I built a base for the Drill. Also first pictures of my new shop on the blog. I just took second use wood and a door from an old kitchen cabinet. The Dril was brougt by a friend of friend, who saved it for me in southern Germany. Hope to finish the shop soon. I need to testdrive the deep stop with 1/10 mm.

  1. It looks like the perfect stand for that drill. And I really like the wooden floor in your shop!

    1. Hi Brian,

sorry for answering late. I'm not used to get comments on the blog.:O) Activated the automatically information now.

Thanks I like the maschine and the wooden floor. When I installed it in Summer i didn't take the time to level the ground correctly. so it's a bit like working on a ship.

    1. My big belly saves my toes. That way I get some use of it in the end.

  3. What a nice looking shop!
Building a cabinet for the drill press is a great idea, it will give a safe storage for drills etc.

The drill press itself looks like an old ultra professional unit. max speed 6400 rpm!!

  4. Hi Jonas,

the cabinet is not for the drill bits. There are some free drawers in my supercool new dentist cabinets for bits and all kind of tools. I share the shop with the house heating thing and therefore I need to be a bit clean in the shop. Difficult for me. I planed to cover erverything in drawers and cabinets to dust off easier.

The Cabinet below the DRILL is for the scrollsaw and the cheap Tormek clone and the Grinder.

    Cheers
