I used the foil technique, I recently learnt on woodnet. First go with silicium carbide grit 120 followed by autosol.

lose Körner
loose grit

At autosol I changed to steelwool 0000.

If you unscrew the screw wich I point with the blue arrow, you can take apart the angle sled.

In dieses Loch fasst die Schraube.
This is the hole, the screw fits in.

Sauber - Clean.

Übertragen der Löcher auf eine neue Platte.
Transcribe the holes.

Der Stopper wird ersetzt
Replace and improve the stop

Ready - just have to shape and sharpen the teeth.

  1. Darf Ich auf Englisch Kommentieren?

I am a hobby woodworker in Vancouver Canada.
About a year ago, I bought a miter box very similiar to the one illustrated above at a flea market.

The color and size look similar, the guides and angle setting are identical, yet the casting bears no model number or any information at all.

The saw that came with it is very different, a steel back and a "two-tone" coloured beech handle. The handle was stained red, in much the same way "PAX" saws from England are made. Perhaps it was a replacement?

    I Enjoy your website
