A freind send me pictures of his Shurly and Dietrich. The cut of the saw blade seem unusual to me. The horns of the blade reach fare in the handle wood, but instead of improving the conection, it weakens the wood. Anything to know about this saw?

Shurly and Dietrich
Eine Freund hat mir Bilder Seiner Säge gezeigt. Das Medaillon sagt Shurly and Dietrich. Ungewöhnlich ist der Zuschnitt des Sögeblattes, dass bis weit in den Griff hineinragt. Eine schlechte Idee des Ingenieurs, denn ausgerechnet dieses Detail dass wahrscheinlich für eine dauerhaftere Verbindung sorgen soll, für Schwachpunkte am Griff hinzu, die ihn schwächen. Aber sicher eine tolle Werbeaktion. Weiß jemand mehr über die Säge?

Sorry, I should have double checked. The saw can bee found on the September 2010 page. I don't know why the url sad a jun2010 in it.
