split nut replacement - Ersatzschlitzmuttern

Ich kaufe gern alte Sägen. Vor allem die hoffnungslosen Fälle. Ich mag den Geruch und vor allem mag ich es, wenn aus einem Stück Rost und Holz wieder ein Werkzeug wird. Eine alte W. Tyzack Sons & Turner (kein Ltd. !) fehlten gleich beide Schlitzmuttern, sonst war sie eigentlich in ganz gutem Zustand. Gerd Fritsche hat mir für solche Fälle schon vor einiger Zeit einige Scheiben Messing, Durchmesser 14 mm mit M4 Gewinde geschickt.

Alles, was ich noch machen muss, ist ein Schlitz in die Scheibe und ein Gewinde an die Schraube.
 
I like to buy old saws. And I have a sweet point for the hopeless cases. I like the smell and  I like it even more, to bring the tool out of a rusty poor. An old W. Tyzack Sons & Turner missed both splitnuts. Gerd Fritsche send me some brass discs 14mm Diameter with an M4 thread.

So all I have to do is to cut a slot and a new thread in the screw.
